Cathay Pacific airline

Hi,

Has anyone flown on Cathay Pacific airlines to southeast asia. We are thinking of booking a flight in economy from SD to Bangkok and want to make sure its at least bearable.

Cathay Pacific is often rated as one of the best airlines in the world by many different sources. It is almost always ranked as one of the top 5 airlines in the world, if not the best airline in the world. Note that there is no American airline that even comes close to being ranked that high. If you have never flown a non-American airline before, Cathay Pacific is a very very good choice (based on my experience). I never fly any American airline to go to Asia any more (unless the price is so low I can%26#39;t help myself) and haven%26#39;t since maybe 1986 (when I flew on Northwest to go to Taiwan).

Other top airlines are Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Malaysia Airlines, and Emirates. Also considered among the world%26#39;s best airlines are Quantas, Qatar Airways, Asiana Airlines, and Air New Zealand.

I only fly by Cathay Pacific (as long as there is a route to my destination). It is one of the best airlines. It%26#39;s a HUGE airline, though it might not be familiar to you in SD.

However, if you are booking a trip to HK, from USA to HK, then HK to Bangkok, you might consider Thai Air or other smaller airlines departing from HK, you will often get cheaper fares as CX is a premium !

Cathay Pacific have one of the best in-flight entertainment systems in the industry. It makes the 15hr plus trip bearable

I have flown the non-stop late night (0015) flight from LAX to Hong Kong several times. If you are flying coach (only thing I can afford) the seats recline without bumping the knees of the guy behind you. The in-seat entertainment is excellent %26amp; the food is edible. The flight is hideously long, but it%26#39;s a very long way. I think Cathay Pacific does service as well, or better, than any airline I have ever flown. The toilets are kept clean %26amp; the flight attendants actually answer the call lights.

The only airline I have flown that os better than Cathay is Emirates and I have flown with most of the airlines that operate in SE Asia, apart from Singapore Airlines - reputedly the best airline in the world

Cathay is the best of them all and i have flown on most of the top airlines. If i was to rate airlines i would as follows: Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Qantas, Air New Zealand, and Thai Airways. I am thinking that the new V Australia that has just started flying between Australia and the USA will be up there to with the best.

I%26#39;ve flown HKG to BKK on CX and had no problems.

Haven%26#39;t flown from the States but several times from Australia to Asia and from Europe to Hong Kong, all on Cathay and I think they are great. You have no need to be worried.
