4 days 3 night in Hong Kong-Day 1 -Itenery Seek Advise

Hi,

I am doing some initial planning for my family first visit to HK this Nov, we are a group of 7, consisit of 3 adults, 2 teenages age 14 and 16 and 2 kids age 9 and 7.

Smooth planning is required for me in order not loose one of them. God bless me.

My initial planning :

Day 1. Reach HK airport at 1030am, will arrange a 7 seater van to go straight to check in YMCA Salisbury, (booking was made)by the time will be about 1200pm .I planned to visit nearer tourist attraction as need to get used to the direction before we go further. (any nearer lunch places to recommend?)So the place will be Nathan Road,Art Museum, Space Musem, Clock Tower, Cultural Center etc. Plan to complete this by noon, around 4-5pm. Take a ferry to Hk Island, and take a tram up to The Peak. Dinner at The Peak. Spent night time at The Peak for its wonderful night view, visit Peak Tower and Madam Tussaud. Complete all this by 8-9pm, back to Hotel.

Did anyone can help to comment and give important tips on this before I go for Day 2? Thank you very much...........

Hi,

I am also planning on booking YMCA for November but when I emailed them they said the rates are not available yet. Please could you let me know how much you paid and for what kind of rooms?

Nice to see someone else planning ahead so early too!

Thanks :)

If this is your first trip to Hong Kong -- stop at the fantastic Hong Kong Tourist Agency (Association) right inside the arrivals hall at HKIA. They are incredibly pleasant, and a FABULOUS source of information; and will provide you with any directions, maps, brochures you need.

They also have another HKTA center right at the Star Ferry area.

BTW - your first day seems incredibly booked; wandering through the art museum might take you 2 hours plus right there.

Good luck with your planning!

Your day 1 is quite packed as you never give yourself some time to stop and enjoy. You can leave the museums for another if you find yourself running short on time.

For the Peak, you probably can%26#39;t be back at the hotel by 9pm given your plans. 10 to 11pm would be more likely. Remember to allow time for transport.

Day 1 with ALL that ?

No way!

I think by the time you check in, will be about 1pm.

Lunch ?

After Lunch, you might have time to check out ONE museum.

Then get back to YMCA Salisbury for quick charge, change of clothes, drop of bags (if you bought anything)... then watch Symphony of lights from your hotel room (if harbourview) or walk across to Avenue of Stars behind of the cultural center, head for dinner nearby. If you STILL got energy, take the MTR to Central, and head up to the peak.

Other possible way, head to HK island by star ferry, go up the peak, have dinner, watch symphony of lights next day.

With your itinerary, your 9 and 7 years old must be super kids..... either that, you will have your teenagers carrying one each while you try to attempt your super marathon.

just a little reminder: ferry station is a distance away from tram station. after you get off the ferry, you can go to bus station to get on bus 15B to go to the tram station.

Is transport to and from Victoria Peak a 24 hour service?

if you are referring to the TRAM, no it%26#39;s not 24 hours.

By Taxi, yes, anytime.

katetam is RIGHT on the money!

Slow down and enjoy your stay.

Relax, get the feel of the place, and just soak it all in. When you sit down and watch the laser light show over Victoria Harbour, you might not want to leave.
