Zhuhai to HK airport?

Hi, wondering what is the fastest way to get from Zhuhai to Hong Kong Airport.

My flight is departing 00.35 from HKG, so i%26#39;d like to be at the HK airport around 21.35 to be safe.

I remember the ferry ride HK-%26gt;Zhuhai was about one hour. is that so?

Are there ferrys from Zhuhai to HK around 20.00?

Do I pay the ferry ticket in RMB or Hong Kong Dollars? (I recall paying HKD when coming from HK to Zhuhai.)

When I arrive at the ';HK-China Ferry terminal';, should I just grab a taxi to the kowloon station and then take train airport express?

Zhuhai to HK airport?

There are only 2 ferries a day direct to HKIA and the afternoon one is too early for your needs so you will have to enter HKG:

Evening ferries only go to to HK Island at 7:30, 8:30 %26amp; 9:30pm. The trip takes 70 minutes plus another 15-20 for immigration, plus 10 minutes walk to HK Station. If you took the 7:30 ferry you could expect to arrive at HKIA soon after 9:35. However assuming your airline has ';in-town'; check-in you wouldn%26#39;t need to be at the airport that early. I%26#39;d check in on arrival at the station and then have a quick meal before catching the AE.

So the ferry is leaving 7.30 from Zhuhai ferry terminal, and is going to the China-HK Ferry terminal.

After I arrive at HK ferry terminal, which is the closest train station from which I can take the AE?

(hope they have english ticket machines like at the airport train station!)

Need to grab a taxi from ferry terminal to the train station due to luggage.

Id rather be at the airport before 10pm since i need to go at the emirates counter and ask a few questions, and they are usually busy

that after 17.30, the ferries only run from Zhuhai to the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal

So the question is, to which train station should I go to (will grab a taxi at the terminal), in order to take the Airport Express train?

As I said above - in the evening the ferries only go to Hong Kong Island (Macau Ferry terminal) which is a 10 minute walk from Hong Kong Station.

Forgot to mention that in China you can only pay in RMB for your ticket.

I took the 0930 ferry from Zhuhai ferry port direct to HKIA, the ferry ride took 50 minutes. There is another ferry at 1530hrs daily and end on this month there will be another sailing at midday.

The reason for this direct trip was to bypass the long queues at Hong Kong Immigration and change to train, bus if you come overland. The ferry drops you at Skypier where you clear China Immigration ( 4 officers cleared the 20 odd passengers in about 5 minutes, we picked up our baggage and checked in at the Skypier, a 2 minute walk. We were given our boarding passes and baggage tags, also HK$ 120 cash refund as we did not enter Hong Kong!

Payment was made in Zhuhai in RMB as overseas Credit Cards were not accepted, There was an international ATM machine in the hall so you can get RMB there. The ferry was clean, punctual, comfortable and service very good.

I spent the 8 hours quite pleasantly at HKIA, there was free internet, food was plenty although 500% more expensive than Zhuhai but the HK$ 120 refund was enough to cover the cost, seating is very comfortable and you can even sleep on the lounge benches.

I would do this again as I had done all my shopping in China before I boarded, I avoided all the Queues, avoided carrying gags through Customs, arrived relaxed fro the long flight home.

I shall be taking the 930am ferry from zhuhai to HK airport. My flight is at 6pm. Can i check in my luggage or is there any where i can leave my luggage so that i can make a trip to the Po Lin monastery.

You might not be able to do that (or at least not without some inconvenience) as the direct ferry is a ';bonded'; service and delivers you inside the security at HKIA. Your passport is not stamped to enter HKG and this servcie is only available to people with airline tickets.

Theoretically it should be possible to exit the airport (enter HKG) and return but I am not 100% sure.
