itinerary for 7 days in Beijing

Hi hi, me 1st time coming to Beijing in mid April, need assistance here.

My research show a lot of cramped 3-4 days itinerary (IMO).

Intend to spend a leisurely 7 days including 1-2 days trip to beijing countryside. 2 of us traveling, don%26#39;t want to wake up too early (3 days max if need to) but can pub/eat/shop till early in the morning.

Below are places I like to visit

BTW staying in Wangfujing area and landing at 6.30am while departing at 11.30pm

Places of Interest

Summer Palace; Forbidden City; Tiananmen; Olympic Park(slightly before sunset so that I can see the lights and show); Temple of Heaven; Lama Temple; Confucius Temple; The Lake District; Dazhalan %26amp; Liulichang; Kungfu show; hike Jishanling-Simatai; Is there place for flowering season?

Yes, yes, Food

Dadong duck; Ghost Street (kindly recommend Sichuan hotpot place here); Mutton hotpot; anything else??

Shopping

Panjiayuan; Pearl market; Beijing Zoo area??; Wangfujing; Chongwenmen; where to buy electronics (near Tsinghua uni);

Wow, look tiring to me. Will add in massage..

Hi! Da dong is Yum... least all my friends from Singapore agree :)

For massages, you can check out Taipan Oriental or Bodhi. Both range about 150RMB for a 90min foot + shoulder massage.

While in the Houhai district, you could walk to Nanluoguxiang Hutong and browse the quirky shops along the old gulou street. There%26#39;s a little store there selling delicious double boiled milk dessert along Nanluoguxiang.

If you want to check out cherry blossoms, Yuyuantan park is the best place to visit. Take the line 1 subway towards the Military museum. From there I think its a short cab ride away from the subway station.

As for electronics, stick to buying them from Sim Lim Sq. More reliable and most times, cheaper.

Thanks for your advice. Sure will go summer palace for the flowers. Yes, the show at Olympic is on Fri and Sun only (based on website infor) As for electronics, I kind of interested in China brand stuff (agreed Sim Lim Sq is good too).
