Travelling from Hong Kong to ?

We will be in Hong Kong from Sept 8-20th and then taking a 2 week tour of China. We know there is lots to see in Hong Kong but is there a 3 or 4 day tour you would recomend from there? Such as Tibet, Bangkok etc.or another part of China besides the Yangtze, Xian, Beijing, Shanghai. I can%26#39;t seem to find anything on the internet based out of Hong Kong, it%26#39;s all from Canada. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

You have to find local travel agency/airlines websites to look for those. Cathay Pacific, Dragon Air, CTSHK, etc...

It is a lot cheaper to fly domestically within China than from HKG so many people cross (by express bus) to Shenzhen Airport and fly from there. Guilin/Yangshuo would be the ideal detsination. You will need a double-entry visa for this. Have a look at Intrepid%26#39;s website. From memory they have an individual 3 day cooking tour that might suit you.

Where are you going on your 2 week tour of China? If you tell us we can recommend somewhere different; probably Yangshuo as already mentioned, or Xiamen.

Our tour in China seems to cover the most touristy areas. Terra Cotta Warriours, Great Wall, Cruise on the Yangtze, cruise on the Li, tours of Beijing and Shanghai. Someone mentioned a cooking school which sounds interesting, I will check that out. Other suggestions for China etc would be appreciated and I will check flying out of other areas. I haven%26#39;t checked Visa%26#39;s yet. Do you need a separate visa for each time you enter China?

Thanks

When you enter Hong Kong from China, if you only have a single entry Chinese visa, then your Chinese visa will be finished. If you apply for a double entry Chinese visa, then could could go to China again. Otherwise, you can apply for a new Chinese visa in Hong Kong.

If on the tour you are doing the Li River cruise, you are already going to Yangshuo. You could go instead to Yunnan - fly to Lijiang from Shenzhen.

If your doing all the main touristy spots and also HK then you might want to relax for a few days in Thailand, or even Sanya on Hianan Island (China%26#39;s Hawaii) check out the Sanya Marriot as they have some fantastic deals, but you will need a double entry for that, the prices are really reasonable for thier packages with Dragaon Air.

thank you everyone. You%26#39;ve given me some things to research before I ask more questions.

I%26#39;ve been researching all the info you have provided. Maybe you can answer a few more questions. Someone suggested getting the express bus to Shenzhen Airport and fly from there. How much is the bus and how do you find out about it. Are there any other web sites you can suggest? Trips to Hianan Island or Phuket seem to be over $1000 US per person for 3 nights which seems too expensive. I have been told we should be able to find some really cheap deals from Hong Kong can anyone help??

Thanks
