Guided Tours

We are planning on visiting Lhasa this summer. We expect to be in Lhasa three full days and two half days.

One of the web sites had the following statement:

';All travel within the Tibet Autonomous Region is restricted. All travelers must be apart of a guided tour for the whole duration of there stay inside of the TAR. This includes time within Lhasa.';

There are going to be only two of us. Do we have to join a tour or can we visit on our own?

Regards,

Bob

with Tibet travel permit you could travel by your own there. But you need to apply that permit from some Chinese travel agency first.
