There are flash card to learn mandarin but not sure about flash cards for tourists. What are you trying to do exactly? Learn Chinese? Have some chinese characters to ask Chinese people some things?

I think you mean the ';Me No Speak'; book which is popular. I haven%26#39;t got the link so try googling Menospeak

On the Trip Advisor China before you go pages there is a page on Chinese words that someone has translated phonetically. That might help too.

If you want sentences rather than words then get a phrase book, not flashcards. In the end you are more likely to use body language and signs. Most restaurants have english menus and or photos but don%26#39;t think too much about that garden salad....

To say salad is very close to sounding like English salad: phonetically - selah ( but don%26#39;t trust me - the way I pronounce things you could be asking for something completely different lol)

Yes totally agree with JP. Best to forget about salad as it is best not to eat raw vegetables. And a phrase book is great for pointing as you have to be very careful the way you pronounce things.
