Vaccinations Qs

Our family of 5 (3 kids age 9 and under) are scheduled for a June trip to Beijing, Xian, Chengdu and Shanghai. Any recent info or thoughts on the vaccines needed? From reading other posts, seems Hep A, tetanus and typhoid are advised? Not sure if kids are advised to get the same regimen? I see references on here to a ';travel clinic.'; What is that?

I have enjoyed the forum and have learned a lot already. Thanks!

Vaccinations Qs

agreed on your vacs, I get them all. Also i have had cholera vac,jap enceph and hep b. Cholera vac not for cholera but it knocks the effect of water borne bugs. My specialist recommends it, family has had it and it works. two or three times and your virtually immune to anything except bad meat.. amazing but expensive

Vaccinations Qs

Travel clinics are staffed with doctors who give travel advice all the time, so they tend to be more up on this than most other doctors.

Doctors can tell you what is recommended for children. The above shots are recommended. Hep B is less clear, but is becoming a routine vaccination anyway.
