No, you have to catch a ferry to Kowloon or HK island and go through immigration there. From HK island, the Macau ferry pier is near the Central ferry piers with ferries to Lantau. Or you can go to HK station and catch the MTR.

Is Chu Kong Passenger Transport co%26#39;s ferry the only way to get from Zhuhai to Hk (vice versa)?

i find the tickets of 175/178 HKD a little pricey.

I think they might be the only company operating that route. Even if there is another company, I wouldn%26#39;t expect prices to be much cheaper - there are three companies operating the HK - Macau route and all their prices are similar.

Yes CKS is the only company on the run and I think $178 is quite reasonable for the regular %26amp; reliable service they offer and the time it takes. I assume that some significant portion of the fare goes to the respective governments for the immigration service just as the departure tax you pay at International Airports.

In a few years time there will be a bridge direct from Zhuhai to Lantau Island but don%26#39;t hold your breath!

Is it necessary to reserve the tickets online?

Or can i just go straight to the jiuzhou port to purchase the ferry tickets for:

Zhuhai to HK (China Ferry Terminal) and

HK (Macau Ferry Terminal) to Zhuhai

Unless you are travelling on or just before a holiday (for example Easter) or at weekends, I would not worry about booking online in advance. However, if you are certain of your travel times you might as well.

I bought my ticket for Saturday 24 hr ahead and the ferry appeared full but last night I bought the tkt only 1 hr ahead.
