Queue for the SWFC (Shanghai World Finance Center)

As I heard similar experiences from friends I thought I just post it here:

If you want to visit the observation deck of the newest member of the Pudong Skyline, the SWFC (or ';bottle opener';) be warned about the queue. When you go down on the escalators to enter the ticket counter you might find them empty without any queue and think ';great, so we are up in 5 Minutes';. Beware! The ';real'; queue is one room ahead where you wait in a zig-zag style for up to one hour in a dark room with some strange visual effects before you actually enter the elevator (after seeing a ridiculously cheaply made and boring ';presentation'; of the SWFC). So check in advance how full that room is by asking the staff to have a peek inside. Also keep your tickets as there is staff everywhere to take a look at it.

Once up you can only look east and west and if it is really worth the 150 RMB p.p. needs to be questioned. Some say that the Jin Mao and the Pearl Tower are still better as they have 360 degree view and are not that crowded (because they all rush to the new tower now).

But up to you. Just be advised.

because it%26#39;s the highest one...after SWFC available, I found you don%26#39;t need to wait for very long queue if you want to visit the observation deck of Pearl Tower...
