Sham Sui Po - Fabrics Shops

Hi everyone. I have read somewhere that if I want to buy fabrics from the bolt (silk etc) I should visit Sham Sui Po in New Territory district. Can anyone tell me where can I find such shops in Sham Sui Po? Is it in Apliu St? Thanks in advance

Sham Sui Po - Fabrics Shops

Sham Shui Po is in Kowloon, not New Territories.

There are fabric shops along Cheung Sha Wan Road and some of the adjacent back streets. Take the MTR to Sham Shui Po station, exit D1 and you will see them.

Thanks for the feedback. Will the shops open on Saturday and sunday? What is the normal closing hours for the shops?

Hong Kong shops very rarely close. They should be open on Saturday and Sunday from about 10 AM until late. There is also a Western Market where my wife bought silk - on Hong Kong Island if that is any closer to where you%26#39;re staying. The silk apparently is good quality but quite expensive.

In Sham Shui Po;

You%26#39;ll find a street fabric market at Ki Lung Street between Nam Cheong Road and Wong Chuk Street.

Yen Chow Street Fabric Market is on the corner of Yen Chow Street and Lai Chi Kok Road.

The Sham Shui Po Wholesale Fabric Market is on Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street between Yen Chow Street and Wong Chuk Street. Some shops sell to trade only but many sell to anybody including Kin Sing at 189 Ki Lung Street, Po Fai Textiles at 99 Yu Chau Street and Cheong Yue Company at 113 Yu Chau Street.

Elsewhere Yau Fat Piece Goods at 208-220 Queens Road Central has remnants from designer goods manufacturers and in the Lanes of Central there is Universal Fabrics at 19 Li Yuen Street West and Fu Lee at 15 and 25 Li Yuen Street West.

As already mentioned Western Market at Sheung Wan has about 20 shops of good quality fabrics on its upper floor.
