10 Day Trip Itinerary

Greetings fellow travelers,

We have never been to China before, so we would love to hear any comments on the itinerary that we have been putting together:

Day 1 Shanghai

Day 2 Shanghai

Day 3 Depart Shanghai on Mid Morning Train to Hangzhou. Spend rest of day in Hangzhou

Day 4 Depart Hangzhou on Mid Morning Bus to Huangshan. Spend rest of day in Huangshan.

Day 5 Day in Huangshan. 9 pm flight to Beijing

Day 6-10 Beijing

We were wondering if trying to go to both Hangzhou and Huangshan is too ambitious, or if we will feel too rushed?

Lots of moving around. I assume that day 1 is a full day in Shanghai. If your plane lands in SH in afternoon then you only really have one days in Shanghai which is not enough. I would cut one of the 2 sidetrips around Shanghai.

We didn%26#39;t mention it, but we have a day 0 in there, where we get into Shanghai, later in the evening, and we probably won%26#39;t do too much that night. So, day 1 and 2 in Shanghai are actually both full days. Does that sound more do-able?
