how long is the SEZ visa valid for

I was under the impression that the single entry visa from HKG into Shenzhen was valid for 3 days. can anyone tell me is that 3 calendar days or 72 hours exactly from your time of entry.? By that I mean for example, if I arrived in Shenzhen at Lo wu border at 6pm and it is valid for 3 days , do I have until 6pm on the 3rd day or could I stay until maybe 10pm? I am expecting to arrive there late in the evening but want 3 full days in SEZ so if it is only for 72 hours then maybe I should leave my arrival into SEZ until the following morning?

Valid for 5 days, problem solved.

thanks for the quick reply. yes you are right.......problem solved. but wait ther%26#39;s more that you might be able to help with. we are a group of 7 adults. We are looking for cheap accommodation in the luohu district. i have scanned the hostels but finding it hard to get much information about them. i have tried to find a 3 bedroom apartment and have had a response from Shenzhen metropark hotel. they have a 3 bedroom suite but only talk about a queen bed and 2 single beds. What about the 3rd bedroom. Then theres the days inn. Will they take 3 in one room? Who knows. i am getting lost here.

Very few Chinese hotels have beds for 3 %26amp; little space for a rollaway. Rooms are cheap, even with the low NZ dollar, getting 3 or 4 rooms shouldn%26#39;t be too expensive.

I am trying to find a place where we all be together though rather than 3 or 4 seperate rooms.I did find the petroploe park has 3 bedroom suites but I am having trouble getting clarification from them about what beds there are in the suite.

Hi, I need to apply for the SEZ visa at Shenzhen, but do anyone know if with this visa, i can only stay in Shenzhen? or I can go further into Dongguan?

1. What is your passport - not everyone can apply for a via at the boder.

2. Officially the Shenzhen visa is only valid for Shenzhen. It%26#39;s unlikely that you will be checked if you go to Dongguan. However, if you are checked, then you are in trouble.

3. Why not just get a visa in advance. Same price and takes a few days to process from the visa office in Wanchai.

Thanks alot drumbrake for your quick reply锕?Actually we need to go into Shenzhen tomorrow, but i just found out the visa I applied before has just expired :(, thats why have no choice but to apply for the visa on arrival.

I am holding Australian passport (actually also have HKSAR passport) and my friend is holding Korean passport. Our intent destination is actually 甯稿钩, do you have any idea if the SEZ visa can allow us to go into 甯稿钩? Many thanks to you.

Changping? That%26#39;s the second question today about that place!

The Shenzhen visa is not valid for Changping, so it is really up to you whether you want to risk going there. You could always plead ignorance if stopped. If it is just a day trip you should be ok, but if you stay overnight then your passport and visa details will be checked by the PSB from the hotel checkin information.

Thank you drumbrake! We are intended to stay over night in Sheung Ping, but will not stay in hotel, will stay in friends home. So is all about taking risk if someone will stop and check us? But upon arrival in Shenzhen Louwu, can we apply for different type Visa which allow us to go further? Sorry for the trouble.

Only Japanese, Singaporeans and those from Brunei can get a %26#39;full visa%26#39; on arrival, and that is because they can get 15 days visa free access.

For everyone else, the most you can get is a 5 day Shenzhen visa. Therefore, it wouldn%26#39;t be a good idea to mention that you are going anywhere else.

If you are not staying in a hotel, then you should be ok. You are taking a risk though if your passport is checked at anytime.
