My wife is a mad keen shopper and is anxious to do a day shopping trip to Shenzhen. We have been there a couple of times before, but last time we were in HK, (June 2008) we found that it was no longer possible to obtain a visa at the border. The alternative through CTS took 3 days, which we did not have.
Can anyone please tell us what is the current situation for Australian passport holders??

Shenzhen visas at the border are allowed again. Australians pay 160Rmb (only rmb can be used).

One last question on this one, other than money, passport and flight itinerary, is there anything else you%26#39;ll need to obtain visa at lo wu into shenzhen at the borders?

You don%26#39;t need a flight itinerary (in fact MUST NOT have flight itinerary) as the visa is only valid for the Shenzhen SEZ and only for 5 days. No photos required.
