Accomodation

I will be visiting Beijing in April 2009, from 10-13. i have a few questions

1.I have heard there are sandstorms in beijing in april, is this true ?

2. i read about Motel 268, are there any other ncie ones close to the sights( tianenmen square, forbidden city, summer palace , etc ) would u suggest staying a little away and taking a metro to places of interest, maybe we could save on accomodation cost then? we are a family of 4 adults.

3.Are 2.5 days enough to see beijing and the gerat wall. we arrive sometime in the afternoon n plan to leave on 12/13th night for Xian.

Accomodation

in 2,5 days you can visit the GW and the other major sites in the city. No problem.

Also you can go to an acrobatics or kung fu showin the evening.

The sites are not close to each other, and travelling is cheap. So there is no need for a hotel in the middle of the city. But try to stay somewhere within the 3rd ring. The west side is some what better then the east side.

Accomodation

Thanks BePu :-)

1, Beijing is a very good environment, in April will not have dust storms in Beijing.

2, you can choose one from the Metro Line 1 Comparison of the western part of Beijing near the hotel, so that is also cheap and convenient transportation

3. Enough for 2.5 days in Beijing, and Xi%26#39;an to time are not too many visitors

2) What exactly is your accommodation budget?

3) No! I usually recommend 4-5 days for the major must-sees. 3 days is very rushed, or you%26#39;ll have to cut out some places.

Where to see the show and how much, please?

I think that BePu meant the East side is better.

You are right JPDeM. I meant the east side :-)
