We are a family of 4 [kids aged 14 and 11 years] wanting to travel to tibet about 30 September 2008. Is this possible?

4onadventure, I%26#39;d ask that you check out Access Tibet Tours. I%26#39;m also planning to travel to Tibet the 29th or 30th of September.

You can only enter Tibet in a tour group, you can%26#39;t travel independently. The tour offered by Access Tibet is the best I%26#39;ve found so far in terms of price and events. Cost seems to be about $1200 each for the 8 day tour, including trip to Mt Everest base camp!

I%26#39;d also keep in mind the accomodations. I%26#39;ve noticed a few tour groups will put you in rooms with no indoor plumbing, so you may want to keep an eye out for that.

Can anyone tell me more about Access Tibet tour? Has anyone satisfied with any tour organizations in Tibet?
