Hi,
We%26#39;ll be in HK for 4 days in June; 2 kids ages 11 and 13. Right now we%26#39;re looking at Harbour Plaza North Point, the one BR suite. Our reasons for choosing this are
1. Pool (kids happy and willing to tolerate more parent-
agenda
2. Price ($138 for the suite) - we%26#39;re really on a budget
3. Close to transportation.
We%26#39;d love Salisbury or something more centrally located, also more of the activities we want to do seem to be in Kowloon, but the prices of everything else we%26#39;ve found are $165 and up.
Can anyone comment on this hotel, or recommend another that meets our criteria? (best would be suite, or king bed plus rollaway or 2 queens; we could squish with only a king, if the hotel would allow it (we%26#39;re counted as 3 adults plus 1 child).
Thanks a lot!

Don%26#39;t the least bit worried about transport. I%26#39;ve walked past the hotel concerned and it shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. The MTR system works just fine. There%26#39;s a train about every three minutes, so as long as you%26#39;re close to a station it%26#39;s not going to be a problem. Getting to Kowloon should take less than half an hour. And, you%26#39;re just a few stops in the other direction from a very large mall with an ice skating rink if you want to go shopping or skating. Haven%26#39;t actually been in any of the rooms though, just the lobby. I don%26#39;t know if you have considered the YMCA? It has a very good reputation for quality at a budget price. And it%26#39;s right next to the peninsular in Kowloon.

Thanx for the info about the ice rink, Guerilla Surgeon, we%26#39;ll be there in the heat of summer, so that may be a great afternoon-time break. Right now the Family Suite at YMCA is $188 - I%26#39;m probably going to wait a while in the hopes it may come down, or perhaps end up going w/ Harbour Plaza unless I get some other ideas.
