hong kong travel

Hi,

I intend to travel to hong kong this october. My friends advised me to take a plane from bangkok to macau, then ferry from macau to hongkong. They also told me to look for a hotel when I arrived there for there are a lot of cheap hotels there than the one advertised in the internet. I just want to spend three days in hongkong then return to bangkok via macau again.

Will the immigration in macau allow me to travel to hongkong without hotel reservation? Can you suggest a place where there are plenty of cheap hotels?

What other informations and advice can you give with regards to my planned vacation?e

Thank you...

Hotels can be expensive if you have a walk in rate. Hostels are cheap though.

You did not mention your passport, but Macau immigration is separate to Hong Kong immigration. Generally you do not need to show hotel reservations when entering Macau or Hong Kong, but it really depends on your passport.

There are cheap hostels in Kowloon in Hong Kong. What is your budget?
