Hello all,
My husband and I have just two nights to stay in Hong Kong for our first visit, and are trying to fit in as much as we can whilst we are there!
I have an itinerary planned out, but have a question about how long to spend at the Peak. Our hotel is in Kowloon, so we plan to get the Star Ferry to HK Island on our second morning in Hong Kong, and make our way to the Peak tramway (is this walkable, and how long would it take? Is there an easier way?).
How long would you suggest we spend at the Peak? We%26#39;re not especially bothered about eating up there.
Ideally we%26#39;d like to spend the afternoon doing other things, could we ';do'; the Peak in a morning? If so, how early would you recommend we get to the tramway?
Many thanks in advance

How long at the Peak?
Bus 15C goes from the star ferry to the Peak tram, or you could walk it in around 20 minutes.
I%26#39;d actually only choose to go up to the Peak on a clear day. If it is cloudy, you might not want to even bother going up, but you might not be able to see anything when you get up there.
If it is clear, there are some nice circular walks at the Peak. The 3.5 km circular walk along Lugard Road and Harlech Road takes around an hour, and has good views.
Getting there early would mean no queue for the tram and less people at the Peak.
How long at the Peak?
I agree with your first reply - if it%26#39;s misty don%26#39;t bother. But having said that the circular walk is a great way to see views of HK Island and also a great way to ease stiff legs from a long flight! I%26#39;d advise walking the clockwise direction. If you%26#39;ve got the time, walk from the Star Ferry, the Peak Tram is well sign-posted. It%26#39;s a good idea to get a single ticket up to the Peak then get a bus down - you%26#39;ll see more of the island that way.I can%26#39;t remember the bus number you%26#39;ll need but they are well signed. You can easily ';do'; the Peak in a morning. Another option would be to go up there in the evening - the night views are amazing. Enjoy HK -I%26#39;m going again in May, can%26#39;t wait!
I agree with both posts. On a socked in day, the view from the Peak - in a way - is nothing special. The night time view though is magical, don%26#39;t miss it if at all possible.
Perhaps you could go up an hour or two before sundown, do the circular walk, have some dinner, then see the lights over the harbour from the Peak.
Tram up and bus down I also agree with.
